ULTRACOR
Product Summary
Ultracor ultrafiltration membrane modules are designed to ensure economical and reliable solutions for water treatment applications. Ultracor membrane is made of Polyethersulfone and consists of a 3-layer structure that provide superior permeability and strength using innovative membrane support.
Ultracor membrane exhibits extreme hydrophilic characteristic reducing the potential of fouling while achieving high volume flow at low transmembrane pressure reducing energy costs which results in low operating costs.
Ultracor pressure driven Inside-Out Filtration
Backwashing Ultracor I-O membrane is much more effective than the O-I membrane by the fact that concentrate is flushed out through a well-defined circular membrane inner wall, whereas low flow dead zones exist outside of the hollow fibre membranes in the O-I formats during back-wash.
Pressure driven Inside to Out advantages
Ultracor Polyethersulfone (PES) membrane are durable, highly permeable with narrow pore size distribution and do not require air scouring. By design the hydrodynamic conditions of Ultracor membrane create superior back-wash performance with low operating costs.
Normal Operation
During normal operation, feed water enters the top centre port and bottom side port of the module to the inside (lumen) of the filter. Using pressure, treatment water is driven through the membrane wall and out of the module through the upper side port to the filtrate tank. While operating, 100% of the feed water is converted to filtrate.
